History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He took after his father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting gnolls, the young Paelias began to lead the lost caravan. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Paelias was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
