History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Beiro grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Beiro. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He is a great chef.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He found a children's book about a Elf Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. Some 4 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Varis never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.
