He was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying north to reunite his family. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

History: Koeth lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young.
