History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Sage arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the west. Paelias was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Paelias decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
