History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He found a children's book about a Elf Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he desires power and/or immortality

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and he feels kind of lost in life
