A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. Ostracized due to the arcane powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Elves became a terror of the countryside. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He is a Doppelganger in disguise. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
