Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He now owns his own business.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes illithids are coming to abduct people. He has a habit of throwing himself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Efferil was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Efferil alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
