History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Recently the stress of being a Navigator has made it difficult for him to sleep.

After coming to the age of reason, Varis took it upon himself to study the necromantic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it; and he's in love

History: Gennal was born the youngest of three triplets. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.
