History: Born in the south to a Stableman, Varis learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. A gifted student he started as a Tailor, but he got bored and became a Stableman. He has worked as a Stableman like his father before him.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs
