History: He was born into a rich family. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Description: A well shaped man just over fifty, he wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty red coat over it. His white hair, when down, is lengthy. He is baby faced.

Personality: Rolen hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. He is stubborn though. He always likes to keep a trick up his sleeve. He likes to fight dirty and will kick and punch below the belt if he feels he even has a chance of losing.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has never given up on his writing dream.
