History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Lucan was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Lucan's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Arannis grew up listening to his mother's many stories. In his 14th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature sword.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. A gifted student he started as a Ruler, but he got bored and became a Brewer. He's also a talented Ruler, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: Born to a Healer, his mother struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Miner hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
