History: Peren was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. His childhood dream was to be a Ruler, but he was a colossal failure. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

He always admired druidic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Varis fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. After months of barely getting by, Uthemar managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, he made his way to the capital under a new identity.
