When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Engraver hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. In his 19th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. After a long history of fighting, Arannis and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. After coming to the age of reason, Efferil took it upon himself to study the druidic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.
