Personality: Paelias is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: He got into the Shoemaker business at a young age. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Shoemaker work with an outfit from a few towns over. Shoemaker work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He became a Shoemaker soon after.

When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Detective for hire.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Detective responsibilities is difficult; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
