History: Ahvain hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. In his 19th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He was granted martial powers by his dying sister.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Quarion was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

History: Aerdeth lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. During his travels, Aerdeth and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Aerdeth discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Aerdeth fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.
