Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He is a very good compulsive liar and kleptomaniac.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. Raer was born on a far western island where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Fortune-teller. Being a Fortune-teller kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions.

Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Regain custody of his son.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and nothing but the best is good enough for him
