History: Born to a Sage, his father struggled to pay the bills. Through the years after Berrian was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Berrian's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He will rave to anyone who will listen. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Elves.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Heian grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Heian. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
