History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Vanuath was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He bought a quarterstaff and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.

Korfel's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. History: Born to a Fortune-teller, his father struggled to pay the bills. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Carrie alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Carrie was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the giants.
