Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Arannis is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the desert to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Arannis took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up glaive and armor he uses now. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Korfel grew up listening to his father's many stories. He found a children's book about a Elf Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature sickle.

His mother, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect him and cast a teleportation spell that whisked him away. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
