He tends to wear a grey poncho over his likewise colored trousers and shirt. His white hair is greasy and uncared for. His green eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Varis is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Varis lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: Erdan was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He now owns his own business.

Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. He is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was granted psionic powers by his dying brother.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and regain custody of his son

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Personality: He is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. Hadarai enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He got into the Tanner business at a young age. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Tanner. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
