History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Paelias grew up listening to his father's many stories. He found a children's book about a Elf Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. As long as the job gets done he does not care how it got done.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Through the years after Varis was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Varis's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help
