History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Nim was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
