History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Koeth was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the giants.

He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. History: Paelias was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. Being a Dilettante kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
