History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Theren grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Theren. He has achieved small success as a Performer.

History: He was born into a rich family. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Seamstress they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Gardener, and he later adopted a second daughter.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He always admired divine-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Layabout hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: A deep hatred of orcs; and he is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally
