Galinndan grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Galinndan. After months of barely getting by, Galinndan managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, he made his way to the capital under a new identity.
