History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered west to less war torn lands. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Mindartis was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Mercenary they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Shepherd, and he later adopted a second daughter.
