Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. Further he is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: Raer hails from a village terrorized by illithids. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
