History: Laucian hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Cook hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He worked as a nervous Adventurer and found it very stressful. He tends to his Adventurer job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Arannis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Arannis. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of freemasons.
