Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Nim embodies much of what other species detest in the Elves. He has a habit of throwing himself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: Nim was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His childhood dream was to be a Barkeep, but he was a colossal failure. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

Description: This northern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He wears very tight pants and wife beaters, though occasionally he sports a grey coat. He is bald on top and has large white tufts of hair around his ears. His hazel eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the north; and to reunite with his old friends

History: Gifted from a young age, Koeth studied abroad. He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He has decided he is irredeemable; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day
