History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. A gifted student he started as a Mortician, but he got bored and became a Butcher. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Paelias was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. As of late he has set up a hidden staging nest where he ambushes people he hires for escort.

He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Cartwright they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Layabout, and he later adopted a second daughter.
