History: Nim lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Elven activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Elven doctor. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

He is very protective of his business, his home, and his spouse. He is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Rolen was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He tends to his Miner job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
