History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Varis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Varis. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often.

Personality: He never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. On top of that he is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to his employer will always come first he doesn't like to hit women.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A gifted student he started as a Navigator, but he got bored and became a Layabout. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Layabout for the past few years.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He bought a halberd and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero; and he's looking for his big break

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: Heian hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. Through the years after Heian was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Heian's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Heian and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help
