The family's rival house kidnapped his sister with the intent that his sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He plays an instrument quite well.

History: He was raised in a desert tribe. Aelar was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Aelar decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with.
