Description: This southern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He wears tattered old clothes. He wears his hair in dreadlocks. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are green.

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. Arannis was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Arannis decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Arannis fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by orcs. Peren was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the orcs.

Motivation: He wants revenge against orcs; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
