History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Born to a Tanner, his mother struggled to pay the bills. Through the years after Gennal was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Gennal's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Gennal and his spouse have recently divorced.
