Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Carrie lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Map Maker. He has achieved small success as a Map Maker.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and retire the richest man in the north

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. He takes great joy in being the best Ruler in town.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Ruler hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Ruler for the past few years.

Motivation: To be a Unemployed again; and wants to open a new tavern

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the south. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. In his youth he was a Tanner, and wanted to be a champion fighter when he grew up. He was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives he lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. He saw the brutality and swore off his fighting aspirations, taking his younger brother on his back after seeing his parents die, and fled the country. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Rael fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
