History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Bather. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

History: Born in the south to a Blacksmith, Rael learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. Through the years after Rael was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Rael's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He's also a talented Fisher, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
