History: He was born in a small plains village. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Naal was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out.
