Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Rael grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Rael. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. Being a Guard kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: Expand his business; and a rival would like him out of the picture
