History: Born in the south to a Bather, Quarion learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Quarion was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Bather for the past few years.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions
