History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He now owns his own business.

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Theren grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Theren. After a long history of fighting, Theren and his spouse have recently divorced.
