He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He now owns his own business.

History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the south. He always admired divine-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it
