History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

Personality: He is mildly Elf supremacist, though he does not identify as such. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: He got into the Barkeep business at a young age. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Elves in the north were limited. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Through the years after Varis was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Varis's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
