History: Berrian was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. History: He was raised in a mountains tribe. Like his father and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Sellsword. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: Varis lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Elven companion (his 'brother'). He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother
