Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Naal was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

Heian took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up sai and armor he uses now. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Ruler for the past few years.

Personality: Himo is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. As long as the job gets done he does not care how it got done.

History: Himo lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. As a very small child his family refused to pay dues to a local crime lord, who ordered them killed. His mother, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect him and cast a teleportation spell that whisked him away. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family Varis was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Varis decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
