History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Naeris was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Dilettante work with an outfit from a few towns over. Dilettante work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Dilettante for hire.

Personality: Paelias is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his mother.

History: The child of a Beggar, who enjoyed hunting, Paelias was taken on many hunting expeditions. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the west; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

His chestnut hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. His face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. His spectacle hidden eyes are a deep blue.

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this northern guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Layabout responsibilities is difficult; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: He was raised in a plains tribe. In his 19th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Nim fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
