History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. Through the years after Varis was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Varis's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

History: He was born into a rich family. His necromantic abilities were realized during a raid on his village. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Bookbinder they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Doctor, and he later adopted a second daughter.
