History: Born to a Mayor, his mother struggled to pay the bills. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Elven doctor. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Elven people; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it
