History: Rael was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. History: Gifted from a young age, Vanuath studied abroad. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered dancing. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

During his travels, Vanuath and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Vanuath discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Vanuath fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.
