History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

History: Born in the east to a Bather, Tharivol learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Laucian was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. After a long history of fighting, Laucian and his spouse have recently divorced.
